adore this! i’ve recently moved to the city with my boyfriend and am really trying to make an effort to go out and do things by myself. such a good read💗
as you know just from knowing me, solitude is my worst enemy. with the passing of ray, now more than ever, i’m afraid to be alone with my thought’s because they’re so grief stricken. i don’t know if i’m ever going to be comfortable in solitude but i know the rate of interpersonal-connection that i am seeking is unsustainable.
I really applaud your intention to figure out how to be truly happy in solitude. I myself struggle immensely with this - often even the attempts I make result in my feeling more sad and alone as I observe all the other people around me who do not appear to be in the least bit of solitude.
I hope this exercise works for you, and I'm inspired and encouraged that there's at least one other out there who seems to get it.
I resonate with this so much! actually my time alone is what recharges me, I need it to connect with myself, love myself too.
“Micro-dosing” solitude is incredible! I’m going to start saying that :) Thanks as always for your beautiful thoughts and writing!
Thank you for reading!!! Here’s to more microdosing in our future!
10,000 hours to master solitude is a bar! 🙌
Great work!
being alone actually helps you to get to know yourself and everybody should be able to spend time in solitude without feeling shut down by the world
